Sunday Snippet: True To Our Mission

Many organizations and businesses have a mission statement, but they are often nothing more than a sign hanging on a wall or stuffed inside an annual report.   WeHaKee Camp for Girls certainly has a their own mission statement, but it is embraced and well-worn as the focal point of all that we do. To further the it's effectiveness, we support the statement with a vision statement and set of stated values.   Every decision we make is filtered through our Mission, Vision and Values to determine its validity to the WeHaKee experience.   Over the course of the next few weeks we would like to share the details behind our Mission, Vision and Values to help our WeHaKee alumni, families, friends along with those of you you who simply wish to learn more about us.   This is what we are truly all about:

Sunday Snippets: Good Luck!

To maintain a broad outlook, we follow a number of writers who post online and elsewhere.   One particular set of writers, Marc and Angel Hack, provide a unique and refreshingly positive view on how one can personally lead a more positive and productive life.   They recently wrote a piece on creating your own good luck which seemed in line with much of what we try to instill at WeHaKee (click HERE to read their article). We thought we would reflect on their thoughts.   Enjoy!

Pack Camp in Your School Backpack!

We're back after taking a couple of weeks to relax and relocate back to our administrative offices.   We're settled in now and ready to continue preparations for Summer 2012 ~ only 287 days to go!!

Sunday Snippet: Another WeHaKee Summer into The Mist!

This morning we said our good-byes to our Mother/Daughter/Auntie campers as well as, with great sadness, to the remarkable WeHaKee staff of 2011.   It was bittersweet as we revealed in the wonderful community we had created, yet wallowed in it's heartbreaking and inevitable conclusion.   Although the summer camp season may now be behind us for 2011, we plan to continue our Sunday conversations about camp life and the community that is WeHaKee!
