The Final Farewell!
Another bittersweet morning with the departure of our last session of girls. It was another remarkable group of campers and the two weeks just flew right by. It’s never fun to say good-bye, especially when its the last group of the summer. The last camper departed about 11am ~ we miss you all so very much!
It was a fun session with water skiing, horseback riding, boating, swimming, arts & crafts, pottery, dance, gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, badminton, instrumental & vocal music, biking and so much more. There were cabin nights, activity nights and some great special events. We enjoyed the Welcome Fire and the Council Fire and celebrated our time together with our Closing Fire last night.
Yes, we shed (and are still shedding) alot of tears, but soon they will clear and we’ll have all of our amazing stories to tell our families and friends. To all the girls of Session Three – thank you for your love, laughter, enthusiasm, excitement and most of all for being so welcoming and accepting of all of the girls at WeHaKee! Y’all are the best and we love each and every one of you!
On Sunday, we open our Family Camp session with the largest group of families we’ve ever had! We’re busy getting camp ready for their arrival and are looking forward to a super week with a lot of fun families!
