The sun is out and the temps are in the 70’s. Like many throughout the Midwest, we have been puzzled by this very fall-like weather, but it has finally given way to summer sun & warmth! The boat is out pulling the water tube around the lake and swimmers will be back in the water later this afternoon.
Today is our Holidays special event – so far we enjoyed a Christmas dinner last night and after our Sunday morning Flag Ceremony, we shared Valentines in the Valley. Lunch today was the traditional(?!?) Easter dinner of spaghetti pie, tossed salad, bread sticks finished off with Boston Cream pie for dessert!!
It is amazing, but tomorrow is our last day of regular activities. We’ll then have our Showcase on Tuesday featuring our horseback riders, gymnasts, along with performances by our musicals, dance and drama groups ending with our instrumentalists and WeHaKee singers closing out the Showcase in the evening. And sadly our second session campers from 2B and 4A head home the next morning on Wednesday. Well, sadly for us who have really grown to enjoy all the girls here at camp, but we know you parents are very excited to see your daughters and hear their camp stories when they return!
